This module is used for the design, mass calculation and documentation of everything from traditional road tunnels to rock caverns and water tunnels. The flexible functions gives the user a great tool to create complex and specially adapted contours in addition to standard normal profiles and niches.
The module is also excellent for following up production on site. You can import road data from VIPS-models, combined with tunnel geometry on XML. Imports of tunnels from IREDES and LandXML are also supported. Bolt and drill logs can also be imported using the IREDES format. Export of designed tunnel description is supported for IREDES, LandXML, Trimble TXL and Leica DBX.
Gemini Terrain contains predefined mass types according to the Process Code (Norwegian Road Authority), but the possibility of creating custom mass types is also very flexible.
Documentation of performed masses is carried out by continuous comparison with theoretical layers, and then linked to process codes.
For designing tunnels, there are two possibilities: manual and parametric description. Tunnel can be used with both automatic and manual roads.
